My blog backup finally downloaded so I am abandoning Tumblr for the final time. This blog will not be deactivated because certain posts of mine are some of the only googleable testimony to the abuse of the Gallifreyan Tradition Society. (Now that my blog posts are backed up, I may go through and delete the majority of posts in order to leave only what is relevant still online.) It was an interesting run, but I do believe it’s time for me to take my leave. AUK is now AFK.

To help distance myself from this steaming crap pile of a website, I am going to unfollow almost everyone except people I am actively friends with. So yeah.

If I can get my blog export downloaded, I am going to leave Tumblr. It’s well past time. Maybe I’ll even leave if I can’t get the export downloaded…I am very tired

Hey there’s some things wrong with your social media platform

  • I keep getting followed by porn bots even after the ban
  • There are literally Nazis on here
  • Blocking someone doesn’t mean that their blog gets removed from my experience of this site - if I block someone, their posts and blog still keep getting recommended to me
  • There’s no easy way to report for hate speech from the app - you require a url of the post and how the hell am I gonna get that on the app?
  • My artwork got flagged as inappropriate - only here’s the kicker. It was posted on my old blog that I deleted. There’s no way for me to appeal the flagged posts because the original blog was deleted. I don’t even know what you flagged but I know it wasn’t explicit because I never posted explicit artwork.
  • This new aesthetics change is very eye-hurting and it’s causing me pain.
  • The adult content ban is useless and only served to drive away so many users. Honestly. What were you trying to accomplish.
  • The kinksters who worship pedophilia are still here, and screwing up the tags so that your algorithm keeps flagging sfw content incorrectly.
  • Why don’t you just ban all content entirely if you hate us that much.
